Camp Fundraiser at Madra Rua June 4th

Horse lovers! Come support Rose Court Farms young riders at a fundraiser on Tuesday, June 4th, 4:00-10:00, at Madra Rua in Summerville.  We want to help send them to Southern Winds Equestrian Camp. Madra Rua will be holding a silent auction, offering beer and food specials, and supporting our riders. For $6 you can get a 20oz Pint of Yuengling and an order of 8 wings. Also, the Charleston Spine Center will be offering free chair massages. All the riders who wish to get funding for camp will be helping to clean up and serve food.  What's not to like about that?

Equestrian sports are expensive. And not everyone can afford the high costs. Many of our Rose Court Farm riders and their families make sacrifices to cover board, pay for lessons, and provide equipment so they can participate in this sport.  Many young riders work at the farm to help pay for their riding expenses.  But, sometimes, even this is not enough. Extra costs, like summer camps, can push the budget too far.  You can make a big difference in the life of a horse-loving girl.  If you can't come to the fundraiser, please visit our donation page and make a donation!

ALL IS WELL

All Is Well, A Groomer’s Secret Salon opened on Trolley Rd, Summerville, April 2007.  The owners, Annette and Christina Clark, say of their business:

"We began as a home based grooming business in 1999. We studied nutrition, allergies and how our environment can adversely affect our pets. In doing so we formulated Groomer’s Secret, our own line of all natural shampoo, conditioners and hot spot treatment. For years we successfully worked with our clients concerning their pet’s allergies. In 2007 we decided to open as a “one stop shop” so to speak. This would enable us to work directly with the public and share the positive outcome that nutrition can play in pet allergies and overall health.

As a grooming salon we have always offered personalized services that cater to the dogs’ wellbeing. We believe that grooming should be a fun, relaxing occasion that is enjoyed by both the dog and groomer. Interaction during grooming should be positive and rewarding.

Holistic pet care is to be inclusive of the ‘whole’ pet; to take into account the mind, body, and spirit of both the pet and the owner. At All is Well, A Groomer’s Secret Salon we create a helpful, stress-free environment to promote positive emotions in both the animals and their owners."

The gift basket they have donated includes pet grooming supplies, treats, a dog bed and more, and is valued at $100.
